About Albans

Part of a 180 acre estate, Albans Lakes consists of three mature gravel pits which are 22, 12 and 4 acres in size.

You can also stalk fish on our three quarter of a mile section of the River Colne.

The lakes may only be three minutes away from the M25,

but thanks to its farm surroundings you would think that you were in the middle of nowhere.

Our investment in 6,000 trees 12 years ago makes the site blend perfectly into its surroundings.

After 15 years of operating, Bowmans Lakes are now under new management and are today known as Albans Lakes.

We now have on site:

  • A full time on site bailiff
  • Fully Stocked Tackle Shop
  • Toilets and running water
  • Catering

Albans Lakes boasts three sized lakes totalling 38 acres of open water, offering good sport to all standards of anglers.

With a Fishery Bailiff on site 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, we’re committed to the running, security and upkeep of the complex.

Recently The Management have introduced a new head of pristine carp to both the Match lake and Farm Lake.
